How to Prioritize
This is exactly where guessing gets expensive. The right balance depends on the athlete: their sport, their position, their training age, their bodyweight, and where their current gaps are. A skinny freshman and a strong senior playing the same position need very different blends of size and strength work.
That's the whole case for assessing before you program. Measure where the athlete actually is, decide what the priority is right now, and train that — instead of defaulting everyone to the same pile of high-rep volume and hoping.
