This is not a tour. It is not a sales pitch. It is 60 minutes of actual coaching and your athlete leaves with a real performance profile — regardless of what you decide next.
Most parents and athletes who book an assessment at FPC have never been through a structured performance evaluation before. They have been to combines. They have done team testing days. They have done fitness tests in PE class. But they have never had someone actually watch how they move, measure how they produce force, and explain what it all means for their specific sport and development.
That is what the free assessment is for. Not to sell you something. To give you information you did not have before.
What We Actually Test
There is no single test that tells you everything about an athlete. The assessment at FPC is a sequence of evaluations — each one building on the last — designed to give a complete picture of where the athlete is right now and what the priority areas are.
Full Movement Screen
We start here because everything else depends on it. If an athlete cannot move well, the numbers that come after are either unreliable or risky. The movement screen identifies mobility limitations, compensation patterns, and movement gaps that affect sport performance — and that quietly become injuries.
Most athletes have no idea they are compensing. They have been doing it so long it feels normal. The movement screen makes the invisible visible.
Speed and Strength Baseline
Real numbers. Where the athlete actually stands today — so every session going forward is tracked against a real starting point, not a guess.
We measure sprint performance, power production, and strength qualities that are relevant to the athlete's sport. Not arbitrary gym numbers. Numbers that tell us how the athlete produces force, how quickly they can express it, and where the ceiling is right now.
Sport-Specific Demand Analysis
Every sport has different physical demands. A volleyball player needs different qualities than a football player. A baseball player needs different things than a track athlete. The assessment maps the athlete's physical profile against what their sport actually demands — where they are built for it and where they are not.
This is where the conversation gets specific. Not "you need to get stronger." But "here is where your force production is limiting your acceleration, and here is what that means for your first step on the field."
The Written Report
At the end of the assessment, you get a written summary of findings, priority areas, and a development roadmap. This is not a handout that says "good job." It is a document that tells you:
- What we found — movement limitations, power deficits, strength imbalances
- What matters most — the priority areas that will have the biggest impact on performance
- What the path looks like — a development roadmap with clear phases and milestones
- What we would do next — if you choose to train at FPC, what the first phase of programming would focus on
You keep the report regardless of what you decide next. The information is yours.
Direct Time With Coach Cody
Your athlete is not handed off to an assistant. They talk 1-on-1 with Coach Cody about their goals, their sport, and what a real development plan looks like for them specifically.
This matters because the assessment is not just about collecting numbers. It is about understanding context. A 15-year-old soccer player with a club season starting in six weeks has different priorities than a 17-year-old football player coming off a shoulder injury. The conversation shapes the recommendations as much as the data does.
Why We Do This For Free
Because the assessment is where everything starts. Without it, programming is a guess. With it, we can tell you exactly what your athlete needs and whether FPC is the right fit for delivering it.
Some athletes enroll after the assessment. Some take the report and train on their own. Either way, they leave with better information than they walked in with. That has value independent of what happens next.
The assessment is free. The profile is yours to keep. The only thing you lose by waiting is time — and time is exactly what this is about.
